CrossRoads Counseling Ministries, founded in 2007, has been and continues to be a place of comfort for the hurting. Utilizing Biblical principles and counseling resources to uplift and encourage clients, CrossRoads licensed professional counselors serve individuals including teens, children, couples, and families.

Our Story

CrossRoads Counseling Ministries is Christ-centered, multi-denominational, and a 501(C)3 non-profit ministry. Providing the highest quality, accessible, professional counseling services from a distinctively Biblical perspective is top priority. Over the years CrossRoads has served clients from the age of three to 93 years!

Meet The Team

Rachel Siemen
Executive Director & Counselor | LLMSW, CFLE



  Rachel serves as the Executive Director and Counselor at
  CrossRoads Counseling Ministries. She brings a deep passion for   
  trauma-informed care and over a decade of experience supporting
  children and families through challenging life circumstances.

  Rachel earned her Bachelor's degree in Family Life-Church Work
  and Psychology from Concordia University-Ann Arbor and holds a
  Master's in Social Work from Spring Arbor University. Her professional
  journey includes impactful roles at Trinity Lutheran Church-Utica as
  a Social Ministry Associate; Assistant Director at Franklin Avenue
  Mission; and most recently Child and Family Therapist at Voices for
  Children Advocacy Center.
 
  Rachel is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  (TFCBT), TraumaPlay TM, and Problematic Sexual Behavior--
  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PBT-PSB), with a particular focus on
  supporting children who have experienced trauma.

  Outside of her professional work, Rachel finds joy in teaching dance
  through the Girls of Grace dance ministry and cherishes time with
  her husband and two children.

Amy S. Paten Counselor | LMSW

Amy is Master's level Clinical Social Worker licensed through the State of Michigan (LMSW). She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Flint. She has been married for over 25 years and has two adult children. She is an active member and volunteer at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and School. Amy has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field including both outpatient and inpatient services. She has training and experience working with individuals with depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, parenting and relationship issues. She enjoys working with adults, children of all ages, couples and families to educate and empower them to obtain personal growth and insight. Among other therapies Amy uses Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Tracey Raquepaw
Counselor | LPC

Tracey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Secondary Education from Saginaw Valley State University. She has been married over 33 years and has two adult children and a daughter-in-law. She is an active member of St. Martin Church. Tracey has over 10 years experience in the mental health field including experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Tracey also provides pre-marital counseling, help with career choices and adjustment issues. Her passion is to work with couples, children of all ages and adults to facilitate motivation for change, growth and understanding of one’s purpose. The types of therapy Tracey uses include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Play Therapy and Art Therapy.

Sharon
Office Manager

Sharon is the Office Manager at CrossRoads Counseling Ministries. She has had experience in the accounting departments of three companies over the years, has owned her own home based small business for over 20 years, has worked at St. Lorenz Church where she has been a life-long member, and as a decorator and visual merchandiser.

She has been married to her husband Tyson for over 35 years, has three adult children and two granddaughters. Sharon served many years in the St. Lorenz Wind Ensemble; taught Sunday school; was a charter steering committee member for MOPS; and has been on many mission trips and was a ChristCare group leader. Sharon enjoys spending time with family, quilting, being creative and traveling.

Kate
Receptionist

Kate is the evening receptionist. She answers the phone, greets clients, schedules appointments, takes payments, processes Prayer Partner requests, prepares the daily financial report and other office tasks. She started working at CrossRoads in 2018, and is a retired elementary school teacher. Kate is also a life-long member of St. Lorenz Church.

Lynne
Receptionist

Lynne started at CrossRoads Counseling Ministries in July 2020. She answers the phone, greets clients, schedules appointments, takes payments and answers questions. She also helps with office/clerical duties when needed. Before retirement, Lynne was a nursing home administrator. Lynne is a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. “My job gives me the opportunity to interact with people and to be a part of God’s work and this ministry to others.”
